阅读建议：读一读故事标题和封面图片，猜一猜故事的主题。一起阅读故事，鼓励孩子和你一起读，第一遍可以读慢一些。如果孩子被一个生词难住了，试着提醒他们这个词的第一个音节，帮助他们通过自然拼读知识来拼这个生词。

 

先读单词，再读整个句子，重点在理解意思。玩一玩 I Spy 的小游戏，让孩子边读边在每页故事图中找出3 dragonflies（3只蜻蜓）, 3 frogs（3只青蛙）, 3 fish（3只鱼）and 3 newts（3只蝾螈）。读完让孩子尝试回答故事后的小问题。故事后附有智力游戏，增加阅读的趣味性。

 

 

可以重复听、阅读同一个故事，定期更换，以增强孩子的自信心。What's a raft？A raft is like a boat.You tie something big and light to a flat platform so it can float.用动作引导孩子认识对pull和push的区别。如何用英语给别人加油？How can we cheer for people?We can say "go go go", "go on", "come on", and when they win, "hooray"!

It was raft race day.

今天是木筏比赛日。

Mum and Dad made a raft.The children helped.

妈妈和爸爸做了一个木筏。孩子们一起帮忙。

"This is a good raft,"said Dad."Let's get it into the water."

They slid the raft into the water.

他们把木筏滑到水里。

Dad pulled it. Wilma and Chip pushed.

爸爸往前拉，Wilma和Chip用力推。

Mum and Dad got on.

"Don't fall in," said Wilf.

“别掉到水里去，”Wilf说。

The raft race started.Mum and Dad went fast.

"Go! Go! Go! "shouted Biff."You can win."

Oh no! The raft broke.

SPLASH! Dad fell in the water.

"Go on, Mum,"shouted Wilf.

“加油，妈妈，”Wilf大声喊道，

"You can still win."Mum kept going.

“你还是可以赢的！” 妈妈继续往前划。

Dad got back on his raft.

爸爸爬回到他自己的木筏上。

"Go on, Dad,"shouted Wilma."Go as fast as you can."

“爸爸，加油，”Wilma喊道，“拼命划呀。”

Oh no! The raft broke again.

啊，不要！木筏又破了。

 

 

SPLASH! Dad fell in the water.

爸爸又噗通一声掉到了水里。

Mum kept going and she won the race!

妈妈继续往前滑。她赢得了比赛！

"Good old Mum,"said Wilma.

“好样的老妈！”Wilma说。

"Poor old Dad," said wilf. 

“可怜的老爸，”Wilf说。
